Introducing Ignis Artists Agency

Scotland has a new co-operative agency for actors, writers and directors.

Ignis Artists Agency was founded in 2026 by five creative professionals: Annabel Logan, Cieran Low, Myette Godwyn, Elissa Grace and Sarah Marie Mooney. All five are artists and members of the co-operative, brought together by a shared desire to take greater ownership of their careers while creating something that could empower others to do the same.

We are delighted to be taking on this new venture as co-founders and beginning members of Ignis Artists Agency. It has grown from a desire to take greater ownership of our own careers while creating something that empowers others to do the same.

Through Lisa Nicoll and Perth Theatre’s ‘Creative Hub’, where we met, a safe and supportive environment was created where artists could learn from one another, share work, exchange opportunities and build lasting creative relationships. It became a space where ideas were encouraged, confidence was nurtured and people were reminded that there isn’t just one path through this industry. That spirit has had a huge influence on everything we’ve built with Ignis.

From the very beginning, we knew we didn’t want to create an agency solely for actors. We wanted a co-operative that brought together actors, writers and directors under one banner, recognising that the strongest creative communities are built through collaboration across disciplines. Having those different perspectives in one room creates opportunities not only for individual careers but for entirely new creative projects to emerge.

Of course, representing clients and putting them forward for exciting roles and opportunities is a fundamental part of what we do. But at Ignis, we want to create a community where members can develop new work, test ideas, ask questions without judgement and continue growing both creatively and professionally. It’s an opportunity for personal development, for building confidence, for filling gaps in our industry knowledge and understanding of how the industry works, and for creating greater transparency around the opportunities available and the roles people are being considered for.

We want our members to feel empowered to take ownership of their careers rather than waiting for things to happen. Ignis is for proactive creatives who are curious, generous and ambitious: people who want to keep learning, strengthen their portfolios, stay match fit, champion the success of others and ultimately get booked.

“Personally, I love being a cheerleader for other people’s talents. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping someone recognise their own potential and celebrating when they succeed.”

Looking ahead, we hope Ignis becomes more than an agency. We want it to be a creative home, a place where new writing is developed, collaborations are born and artists continue to support one another throughout their careers. By bringing together actors, writers and directors, we’re building a community that reflects the collaborative nature of the creative arts in Scotland while giving creatives the tools, confidence and support they need to thrive in Scotland and beyond.
